CompuGirls Hawaii is an affiliate of CompuGirls, a national program focused on increasing opportunities for adolescent students of color in the fields of science and technology. The program began in 2020 in partnership with CyberHawaii and University of Hawaii.
This past month CompuGirls Hawaii hosted four Lead, Learn and Lunch events on the neighbor islands where students were invited to visit and learn about the local innovation and global perspectives in cybersecurity and IT. These neighbor island event culminated to a CompuGirls Summit held in early July where more than 60 students and teachers across the state.
