Navy REPI Project (Military In Hawaii)
To Train, Test, Operate, and Conserve. The host for this show is Jay Fidell. The guest is Susie Fong.
The Readiness and Environmental Protection Integration (REPI) Program is a key tool used by DoD and its partners to protect the military’s ability to promote compatible land uses, enhance climate change adaption measures, and restore habitat near installations and ranges to preserve DoD’s mission. The DoD established the REPI Program in 2003 to reduce military-community-environmental conflicts resulting from urban sprawl and loss of habitat surrounding installations and ranges. The REPI Program allows for mutually beneficial partnerships among DoD, state and local governments, and private organizations that are a key component of REPI projects help sustain installations’ operations and resilience.
