Major General Darryll Wong (retired) of the Hawaii Air National Guard and Tony Vericella, Executive Director of the 75th WWII Commemorative Committee, will discuss the commemorative event being planned and what it signifies for the people involved and for Hawaii.

On Sep. 2, 1945, the U.S. accepted Japan’s formal surrender aboard the U.S.S. Missouri marking the end of World War II, the largest and deadliest in history with 60-80 million deaths. The 75th Commemoration of the End of WWII remembers the events, the battles and honor the courage and service of our WWII veterans.
