Save Money with Federal Tax Credits (Hawaii: State Of Clean Energy)
Decarbonize Using Inflation Reduction Act. The host for this show is Mitch Ewan. The guest is Adam Strubeck.
The episode updates information about the $370 billion Federal Inflation Reduction Act and what its benefits could be for Hawai’i residents. This legislation provides energy production tax credits, energy investment credits, and funding to agencies for grants and loan programs to incentivize clean energy development. For example, there are tax credits for residential energy systems–up to 30% of costs–for installing a variety of energy efficiency improvements that Hawai’i homeowners may be eligible to receive including PV solar, battery storage, windows, doors, heat pumps etc. There are also transportation subsidies for the purchase of electric vehicles.
