Pioneers Navigating Uncharted Waters (Screen Time Reset)
A Punahou dad shares his experience parenting in the digital age. This is the first generation of parents that’s had to contend with raising children with smartphones and iPads. It’s been over a decade since smartphones burst on the scene, but solid structures still haven’t been created to help educate and support parents on how to help their children develop healthy screen habits. Parents are getting limited information from pediatricians, schools and the government. Their own parents didn’t have to deal with smartphones and tablets when they were growing up. Many parents who do limit their children’s tech worry their children will be ostracized and feel as if the whole culture is pushing back against them.
