Today on Screen Time Reset, we talk with high school sophomore Buddy Leong to get a student’s perspective on how screens are influencing teens’ lives in and out of school. Buddy believes that tech provides valuable benefits to teens today, but he also acknowledges many students do not take advantage of these benefits and instead fall into counter-productive habits that end up wasting a lot of time (it’s worth noting that plenty of adults do too). Adults often assume that students are staunchly pro-tech, but Buddy demonstrates that some, maybe even most, students have conflicted and nuanced opinions on tech and are more weary of the harms than adults might assume.
