End the Death Penalty (Perspectives On Global Justice)
A Walking Shadow
The use of the death penalty is cruel, inhumane and degrading. Whatever form it takes- hanging, lethal injection, beheading, stoning or electrocution- the death penalty is a violent punishment that has no place in today’s criminal justice system. Join Taurie Kinoshita and her students, as we raise awaress on death penalty practices in the U.S. and across the globe, discuss the vision and mission they discuss cruelty theatre, as well as a student production that they have been working on as part of a theatre class, A Walking Shadow. A Walking Shadow deals with the tragic travesty of justice involving the Myles Fukunaga case, a 18 year old Japanese Hawaiian man who was executed in 1928 in Hawaii. The host for this episode is Beatriz Cantelmo. The guest for this episode is Taurie Kinoshita.
