A story of truth, bravery, and reconciliation. Can imaginary stories create new spaces for deeper understanding and appreciation, foster new friendships, healing, and conciliation on the deep wounds and legacy caused by colonialism? On today’s perspectives on Global Justice Thinktech Hawaii, host Beatriz Cantelmo will be conversing with guests Hazel Peel -Hodgson, and Blanche Bruisedhead. Blanche and Hazel are Canadian nationals, have a very special intergenerational friendship. They also have quite a story to share with our viewers. Hazel wrote the Wold Child: A story of bravery and truth, which was selected by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada. Blanche Bruisedhead is an indigenous elder who attended Indian residential school in Canada. She was moved by Hazel’s story. And the rest of this story, you will have to stay tuned to hear about it.
