What’s New at Hawaiian Electric and Prepping for Hurricane Season (Hawaii, State of Clean Energy)
The approach of Hurricane Hector last week was both a distraction and a reminder.
Catching up with energy news, we’ll get an update from Hawaiian Electric on what they’re looking for in additional renewable energy projects on the islands of Oahu, Maui, Molokai, Lanai, and Hawaii (deadline for the new request for information is September 17). The hurricane was also a reminder: it’s only mid-August, there are many more days left in the 2018 hurricane season. The new guidelines are for every family to be prepared with essentials to last TWO WEEKS. Join us as we show and tell one family’s emergency preparedness kit. The hosts for this episode are Maria Tome and Jay Fidell. The guest for this episode is Peter Rosegg.
