Designing Hurricane-Resilient PV Systems
Protecting Our Energy
The 2017 hurricanes brought sustained wind speeds of over 180 miles per hour to many Caribbean islands… some PV systems survived virtually unscathed while others suffered extensive damage.
Hear first-hand from the author of the report about similarities between the failed systems… and (even more importantly) design and installation practices for the systems that survived. Some were back up and operational almost immediately.
