U.S. Energy Policy Midterm Review
Energy in America Guest Host Ray Tsuchiyama is joined by Lucian Pugliaresi, President of the Washington, D.C.-based Energy Policy Research Foundation, Inc. (EPRINC), to discuss the new Trump Administration first two months and the evolving U.S. energy policy landscape. He gives insights to the Paris Accord, clean power plans, the so-called Congressional “Mid-Term Review” and the future of the CAFE standards — and repercussions with climate change and energy conservation proponents. *The Corporate Average Fuel Economy standards are U.S. regulations to improve the average fuel economy of cars and light trucks produced for sale in the United States.
Mr. Pugliaresi also analyzes the future of shale oil and gas development as major integrating U.S. companies are now deploying capital into this arena, which may result in the U.S. as a major source/player in shipping oil and gas supplies to the world market.
