On November 2021, a Swedish prosecutor indicted the chairman and former CEO of Lundin Energy for aiding and abetting in the commission of war crimes during 1997-2003 in Sudan. In this episode we discuss with Nicolás Süssmann from Project Expedite Justice about corporate responsibility for international crimes, how corporations and senior officers can be held responsible for this issues, and what possible avenues of accountability exist for this type of cases. We discuss jurisdiction, what is aiding and abetting, and what is the role corporations play in context of mass atrocity or armed conflict.
