Dep. Attorney General Rod Rosenstein issued a warning in a speech Tuesday, in Annapolis, MD. implying his department intends to take a more aggressive approach to acquire access to encrypted information form technology companies, crying about public safety over privacy. The Trump administration has also subpoenaed DreamHost to hand over 1.3 mil. IP addresses of users that used the website disruptj20.org. IP addresses could allow the government to find physical addresses. This could be Trump attempting to scare and silence people exercising their first amendment rights!Takeaway: Will the Trump administration be successful in enacting policies that allow the US Government to have a built-in back door to all encrypted data? Will Trump silence protesters on the Internet.
