Jane Goodsill is doing an oral history project called “Voices of HI” which started out recording memories of lawyers of her father Marshall Goodsill’s vintage but has now branched out to include recorded interviews to preserve memories of some 75 local luminaries (e.g. Ron Moon, Bill Tam, Alice Guild, Frank Padgett, Fujio “Fudge” Matsuda, Ray Tam, John Fink, Zita Cup Choy (Iolani Palace teacher/historian) + many, many others). Her aim is to publish a 2020 book of excerpts which is well underway with a publisher already lined up.
