International Hybrid Team (Transitional Justice)
Justice in an Ongoing War Context. The host for this show is Jay Fidell. The guest is Alisa Goloshchapova.
In the context of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, an international hybrid team has been introduced to assist victims of war crimes, crimes against humanity and crimes of genocide in seeking justice through all available legal mechanisms. The team works to collect and preserve evidence in a manner that meets international legal standards, prepare and submit legal briefs on behalf of relevant stakeholders, and train local lawyers and investigators, all while considering local backgrounds and the ongoing state of the military situation. Focusing on cooperating with local stakeholder organizations brings new challenges along with managing a hybrid team.
Alisa Goloshchapova discusses her experience as a coordinator of an international project with a hybrid team in assisting victims during an ongoing war. She focuses on the challenges of working in an international hybrid team.
