International Education as Cultural Capital (The Creative Life)
Open Minds Through International Education. The host for this show is Darlene Boyd. The guest is Kelly Oto.
The pandemic unleashed worldwide unrest. There are now strong efforts to correct resultant social inequities and injustice. International Education is a conduit to further cultural capital across the globe.
International mobility through higher education has been increasing for decades, often being affected by global incidents. With the increasing interest to support local students, support for international programming has become less of a priority.
International education needs to be considered a strategic pillar to build a highly skilled workforce that’s culturally aware, understands global interdependencies and ensures global competitiveness. With increased knowledge, creative modes of delivery and better understanding of others, we have the power to address social injustices and utilize creative strategies for a better world.
Guest, Kelly Oto discusses creative prototypes for international collaborations in today’s world. International Education is more than study abroad.
