The need for policy and protection by faith-based constituencies. The conversation will begin with Father Gierlach discussing his work with Hawaii’s houseless population through his faith-based community, St Elizabeth’s. Stephanie will ask him to discuss his service goals, accomplishments and new understandings at church and community levels he has engaged and the cost-benefits of the endeavors. How has he succeeded in assisting houseless communities to recovery and what faith-based community efforts support or nudge the communities forward to normal.
