Feeding Hawaii Together – Not Your Typical Food Distribution Program
Feeding Hawaii Together is a 501(c)(3) non-profit food distribution center based out of Kakaako. Unlike your typical food distribution program, Feeding Hawaii Together employs a “grocery-store style” setup which enables qualifying individuals to “shop” from a wide assortment of perishable and non-perishable foods directly from refrigerators and shelves. Feeding Hawaii Together is currently seeking warehouse house space to relocate to by December 1, 2016. Charlie Lorenz shares the history and services of the organization, and explains why their work is an important resource that should be kept within the Kakaako community.
ThinkTech Hawaii streams live on the Internet from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm every weekday afternoon, Hawaii Time, then streaming earlier shows through the night. Check us out any time for great content and great community.
