Brendon Kaleiʻāina Lee’s vision for his upcoming tenure with OHA
. In 2016, Kaleiʻāina was elected as the chairman of the 2016 Aha: Native Hawaiian Governance Convention.
Under his leadership, a diverse group of 120 participants worked together to find the common ground necessary to draft and adopt a Constitution with a vote of 88 in favor, 30 against, and 1 abstention. Believes that his comprehensive knowledge of Robert’s Rules of order will help bring civility back to OHA. Believes that Housing is the biggest issue Hawaiians face today. Overcrowding is a major issue in Native Hawaiian households. ● Believe that OHA and DHHL can be more creative in partnering to develop low income assistance housing.
