Can the Republicans abide by their oaths of office? Public testimony proceedings William Barr did not speak on behalf of Trump that he did not break the law Trump loses in court that he stole funds from his charity. Orderd to pay $2M back Lindsey Graham refuses to look at testimony further. His mind is made? Should he step down from the Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee? The Supreme Court allowed Sandy Hook suit against Remington to proceed. For the lack of any action whatsoever in the Senate, gun control will now be in the courts. NPR interviewed members of an Evangelical Church in the South today and to their surprise they found half the parishioners had turned against Trump. More divisiveness, but good news. Trump is now criticizing Israel. Another part of his totally failed foreign policy in the Middle East. Lest we forget the “master” of the art of the non-deal – but we’re still waiting for deals with China, North Korea, Turkey, Iran (which is now making bombs) and even Japan. The only positive relationship seems to be Trump bending over for Putin while Putin works against us in every way, including in the 2020 election. He has achieved virtual no initiative or legislation, except the crazy tax “reform” bill which is hurting the middle class big time, and the tragic termination of DACA which is going to the Supreme Court (likely to agree with him on that). The White House staff and senior officials in the State Department and DOD are sharply divided, demoralized and distracted. The government is hardly functioning. And of course there’s more behind his back we don’t even know about. The hosts for this episode are Jay Fidell, Tim Apicella and Cynthia Lee Sinclair.
