A Safe Haven for Farm Animals (Healthy Planet)
Volunteers Helping Animals in Need. The host for this show is Grace Chen O’Neil. The guest is Lolita Ayala.
Aloha Animal Sanctuary is a Safe Haven for farmed animals. The Sanctuary was founded by a team of animal rights activists who recognized there was a need for a sanctuary for farmed animals on O’ahu. Aloha Animal Sanctuary is O’ahu’s First 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Sanctuary for Farmed Animals. It is located at the base of the Ko’olau Mountain Range in Kahalu’u, Kaneohe, and rests on 2 acres of land. The Sanctuary is completely run by volunteers. Lolita Ayala, the executive director of the Sanctuary, tells us how the sanctuary was founded, and talks about the animals that are currently living on the sanctuary.
