What’s Been Going on Honolulu with Tech
In this premiere episode, Jay Fidell and Duke Oishi Highlight two prgrams. The first was a panel put on by Think Tech and the HVCA entitled Recovery and Transformation, about the state economy. Speakers included Dick Cushman, a businessman and real estate developer, Craig Howes of UH Manoa, John Osorio of UH Manoa, Robbie Alm of Hawaiian Electric, Robin Campaniano of the Ulupono Initiative, Peter Ho from Bank of Hawaii, Janet Liang from Kaiser Permanente, Billy Kenoi the mayor of the Big Island. The Second Program was the Asia-Pacific Clean Energy Summit. This was held at the convention center and brought people together from Asia and the mainland to talk about clean energy. Interviews include Been Sullivan from the KIUC, Ted Peck a State Energy Administrator, Melissa Pavlicek of the Western States Petroleum Association, Douglas Codiga an environmental attorney, Kelly King from Pacific Biodiesel and Jeff Daivs, The Solar Guy on 1080 AM. Includes a conversation between Duke Oishi and Sen. Mike Gabbard about energy in Hawaii.
