Theatre of Peace – ACTION SOCIALE KESHO KONGO
Dr. Adolphe Nyakasane is a 2016 Mandela Washington Fellow, from the Democratic Republic of Congo. He is a pediatrician, an actor and theatre artist who is using theatre to help create peace.
He has been selected among over 40,000 young African Leaders committed to change in their communities. He is one of the 1000 fellows who deserved to come to the USA for a six week program of training in 3 different tracks: Public Management, Civic Leadership, Business and Entrepreneurship. The program is run by the US Department of State and implemented by IREX. He was affected in Public Management at The Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs (Syracuse University, in New York). Based on their work and Impact in their counties, 100 fellows among the 1000 have been selected for a PDE (Professional Development Experience), he is one of them. Adolphe Nyakasane is a Medical Doctor, he works in Pediatrics. Beside his work in two hospitals in Bukavu (eastern Congo), he runs a nonprofit called ACTION SOCIALE KESHO KONGO (www.keshokongo.org) which works on projects in the fields of Health, Education, Agriculture and Farming. His focus is in peace building.
