Scientific Learning Matters – Ken Kaneshiro and Chuck Burrows
Drs. Kaneshiro, Burrows, & Allen will discuss the power and value of linking the learning of science to the places and events that matter in learners’ lives. We’ll talk about some local projects including a restoration project in Kawainui marsh and the working group Hui Kawainui-Kailua Ka Wai Ola, and describe how engaging ‘citizen science’ communities in such work amplifies its impact.
