Lessons to be Learned from Global Education (Educating Ourselves In These Difficult Times)
Local vs. International Education, What’s Better? The host for this episode is Grace Laudick. The guest for this episode is Jennah Waynant.
We discuss the challenges facing education today and how students feel the education system can be changed to help meet the demands of the present and future. We explore what life is like as an international student in China, what local student life is like in Hawaii, and the challenges of adapting and transitioning to a new culture and educational system. As we compare the two educational systems, we will identify how each country can improve their curriculums, and how high schools and colleges can better prepare students for their next step of life. Finally, we explore how education and culture provides the foundation for how we perceive and respond to global issues and events, particularly considering this challenging time.
