Ken Lawson is a Professor at the William S. Richardson School of Law at the University of Hawaii. He teaches criminal law and procedure, professional responsibility, and evidence and is the Co-Director of the Innocence Project. He recently traveled to Hong Kong where he spoke to Chinese criminal defense attorneys about Effective Representation in Death Penalty Cases: How To Save A Life at Hong Kong University. Mark Shklov, host of Law Across teh Sea, and Ken discuss criminal law in modern society, reasons why innocent people are wrongfully convicted in our legal system, and what he discovered in Hong Kong.
