California Case Study House Series and Hawaii Kahala Hotel’s architect Edward Killingsworth’s only speculative project which he sold to United Airlines. Edward Killingsworth with structural engineer Alfred Yee designed his only speculative project in his career in Waikiki’s Seaside Avenue and sold it to United Airlines who used it as the “Seaside Hotel” for their staff and sold it in 2012 and the buyers rebranded and refurbished it into the Shoreline Hotel in a way to be critically discussed.
