Gavin Thornton, Executive Director of the Hawaii Appleseed Center for Law and Economic Justice, will discuss the Center’s efforts at dealing with the challenges of COVID-19 in Hawaii, including collaborative problem solving and collective action, especially on how to prioritize federal relief funds coming to Hawaii, getting food to the people that need it, minimizing economic impacts, and protecting public health by preventing coronavirus outbreaks in Hawaii’s jails and prisons. The host for this episode is Jay Fidell. The guest for this episode is Gavin Thorton.
