Hawaiis Medical Cannabis Industry
There are more than 14,142 Medical-Marijuana patients in Hawaii. Since 2000, patients in Hawaii with certain medical conditions could legally grow and possess small amounts of marijuana, but there are no dispensaries where one can buy it.
What has happened to the investors who spent thousands of dollars to build Medical Cannabis Labs only to have them put on hold? Wendy Gibson is a cannabis nurse (RN/BSN, ACNA member) who is involved in helping shape medical cannabis laws and educating health care professionals in Hawaii. She serves as the Field Organizer for The Medical Cannabis Coalition of Hawaii and The Drug Policy Forum of Hawaii.
