Duke Oishi and Lori Wingard take a look at a recent program put on by Think Tech and Hawaii Venture Capital Association entitled “Hawaii Update on Agriculture”. The program dealt with ideas to bring Agriculture to critical mass in Hawaii. It was moderated by Sylvia Yuen from the College of Tropical Agriculture at University of Hawaii At Manoa and featured Bob King of Pacific Biodiesel, Fred Lau of Mari’s Garden, John Morgan of Kualoa Ranch, Dean Okimoto of Nalo Farms, Ray Iwamoto of Schlack Ito, Thomas Ka’eo Duarte of Kamehameha Schools, Diane Ley of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Fred Perlak of Monsanto Company, Laura Thielen of the City and County of Honolulu and Charles Kinoshita of the College of Tropical Agriculture.
