Galvanizing Aloha – Hoihoi Ea
July marks the Hawaiian national celebration of La Ho’iho’i Ea, established in 1843 under Kamehameha III, Kauikeaouli, after a temporary occupation by rogue agents of the British Crown. Queen Victoria sent Admiral Richard Thomas to Hawaii to end the unsanctioned occupation instigated by British Lord George Paulette, and restore the Hawaiian Kingdom.
