Financial Assistance Options for Maui (Restaurants of Hawaii)
Where Residents Can Apply for Grants. The host for this show is Andy Huang. The guests are Leah Melnick and Sean Palani.
The Hawaiʻi community, both in the islands and afar, have been showing their support in tremendous ways since the devastation from the Lahaina wildfires in August. Containers of donations, food, clothing, hygiene products and more have been commuting to and from Lahaina almost non-stop from various groups wanting to help in any way they can.
Many fundraisers have sprung up around the islands and in the states in support of the recovery efforts in Maui.
The number one question that keeps coming up is: How can the community best help the residents of Maui to rebuild and find temporary relief? The answer is always monetary contributions. Two organizations joining us for this special conversation are CORE: Children of Restaurant Employees and the Giving Kitchen. These amazing groups provide financial assistance to those facing hardships, particularly in the foodservice industry.
Today they share with us how they provide help and explain their easy application process.
