ThinkTech Host of the Week
Andrew Lanning started in the computer and electronics field in 1982 beginning with the COBOL, FORTRAN, and ASSEMBLER programming languages. He continued with electronic systems training as a missile technician in the United States Navy from 1985-1993, and is a combat-action veteran of the Persian Gulf War.
Mr. Lanning joined the commercial security industry after the navy and Co-Founded Integrated Security Technologies (IST) with his wife in 1998. IST is a Honolulu based contracting firm specializing in electronic security system design, implementation, and maintenance.
Mr. Lanning sits on the BOD of the Hawaii Information, Communication and Technology Association (HICTA), the Security Industry Association (SIA) Cybersecurity Committee, The Underwriters Laboratories (UL) Cybersecurity Advisory Council, and he chairs the PSA Network Cyber Security Committee. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Hawaii in 1993, and a Masters in Communications from Hawaii Pacific University in 2011. Andrew enjoys hiking and water sports and completed his first Ironman
