Complementarity in Colombia and Venezuela (Transitional Justice)
ICC Decisions Regarding Investigations. The host for this show is Jay Fidell. The guest is Santiago Vargas Niño.
Prosecutor Khan decided to close the preliminary examination in Colombia and to launch an investigation into the situation in Venezuela. He signed MoUs stressing the need for support for domestic jurisdictions in the investigation of core international crimes with the governments of both countries. This offers an opportunity to assess his approach to complementarity and to discuss the way forward for accountability under the Rome Statute in South America.
Transitional Justice is coordinated together with Project Expedite Justice.
