Capital Stormed (Rediscovering America)
Who’s Responsible? The host for this episode is Tim Apicella. The guests for this episode are Jay Fidell, Winston Welch, Stephanie Dalton and Cynthia Sinclair.
Today, America and the world witnessed one of the most shameful events of our nation’s history- the storming of the U.S. Capital and destruction of our symbol of democracy by insurrectionists. Directly encouraged by President Trump, a violent mob smashed in windows doors to our Capital. Representatives and Senators were rushed into secure quarters or barricaded in the House Chamber for protection. We see the results of Trump’s hate fueled conspiracies and election loss grievance. As events unfold, there will be great debate as to the loyalty to the Constitution, Rule of Law, and principals of our democracy. Trump supporters will to determine which side they stand. They will need to make a binary choice- loyalty to Trump or to their country, and the democracy it represents for America and the world.
