Marc Jason Gilbert, the NEH Endowed Chair in World History at Hawaii Pacific University interviews Colonel (Retired) Alan Armstrong of Honolulu on his experiences as military attache and liaison to Royal Cambodian armed forces during much of the Second Indochina War and is writing a novel which examines the nature of America’s past relations with Cambodia as well as the lessons learned and unlearned there for American foreign policy.
