We’ll discuss the origins of the problems, the long history of Ala Wai improvement efforts, the current state of affairs, and some of the proposed actions. Rainfall differentials, runoff, stream flow, drought, flooding, erosion, alien species, native plants, construction, roads, land use, and a myriad of other factors must all be considered in the search for acceptable solutions that will enhance the livability of Oahu.
