Recent Developments and Pressing Issues. The host for this show is Jay Fidell. The guest is Nicolás Süssmann.

Since 2019, greater attention has been brought to the impact of conservation measures such as protected areas on the human rights of indigenous peoples and local communities. Since then, several concerning situations have occurred around the world. Most recently, the situation of the Maasai in Tanzania and of the Batwa in the Democratic Republic of Congo has been dire. Guest Nicolás Süssmann discusses with host Jay Fidell these recent events and how the conservation and human rights ambit looks in the upcoming years.
