2022: A Key Year for Colombia (Transitional Justice)
Transitional Justice in Colombia 2022. The host for this show is Jay Fidell. The guest is Natalia Venegas.
2022 has been a significant year for Colombia’s transitional justice process. Firstly, on June 28, Colombia’s Truth Commission published its final report on the country’s long-running civil conflict. Also, there have been vital decisions in the last months regarding the transitional justice process. On July 25, the JEP held accountable members of the Colombian Army for crimes against humanity and war crimes, specifically for extrajudicial killings. Natalia speaks about the past months’ importance for Colombia’s peace process and the importance of transitional justice in this matter.
