The first guest on “A Nation of Immigrants” is The Honorable Judge Tony N. Leung, the first Asian Pacific American judge in Minnesota. Judge Leung received his bachelor’s degree with honors from Yale University and Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law. Judge Leung was born in Hong Kong and immigrated to America in 1966 with his family when he was 6-year-old.
Judge Leung benefited from and is extremely grateful for the Promise of America, but he is also keenly aware of the limitations of the Promise. In this episode of “A Nation of Immigrants,” Judge Leung shares his life story, career path, and his thoughts on the judicial process and criminal justice system, as well as his reflections on diversity and inclusion.
