From Public Transportation Deserts To Jobs (Work Reimagined)
How Tech Is Transforming The Hood. The host for this episode is Ruby Menon. The guest for this episode is Su Sanni.
Systems such as public bus routes, train lines, and taxi services fail to reach certain communities, creating what’s called a “transit desert.”
Dollaride is a Brooklyn-based tech and mobility company for communities that are underserved by public transit. They created a smartphone app to unite over a 100K daily riders living in transit deserts with a private network of “dollar vans.”
Their goal is to create new transit routes and introduce a mobile product to riders and drivers that will upgrade dollar van service from the shadows.
Ruby’s guest is Su Sanni, the CEO of Dollaride. They’ll be talking about the company’s mission to bring dollar van service out of the shadows and provide work opportunities for people in the community.
