Ashley Lukens has been the Program Director for the Hawaii Center for Food Safety since 2014. Through legal, policy, research, education and community organizing initiatives, the CFS Hawaii Program focuses on the impacts of industrial agriculture on the Islands, and promotes a vibrant local food system by supporting sustainable farming, soil restoration and seed saving projects. Today we’ll hear about CFS Hawaii’s current priority projects and recent accomplishments, and learn more about Ashley’s diverse background and what motivates her work.
