Happy New Year from everyone at ThinkTech Hawaii!

Daily Tech Tip

Gmail Addresses aren’t One Trick Ponies

Did you know you can get addressed to your Gmail account at firstnamelastname@gmail.com but you could ALSO use firstname.lastname@gmail.com? Dots don’t matter in Gmail addresses so if you have johnsmith@gmail.com (sorry John Smith) you could use john.smith@gmail.com or jo.hn.sm.ith@gmail.com or j.o.h.n.s.m.i.t.h@gmail.com or any combination with the dots. In addition to ALL that, you can use Google’s additional email domain with your email address. This means that if someone sends you email at john smith@gmail.com, they can also email you at johnsmith@googlemail.com
