LIVE FREE: On the Frontline. 60% of the over 16K deaths from COVID-19 are persons of color. Many have spoken about pre-exhisting conditions and systemic racism in health care that has caused this epidemic within a pandemic. Michael McBride, a California based social activist, community leader, former Advisor on President Obama’s Faith Based Advisory Council for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, and frequent contributor to the New York Times, the Washington Post, MSNBC, CNN, the Huffington Post is leading the way with boots on the ground to provide free masks and hand sanitizers to the most vulnerable – the elderly and those in prison. Our other guests are two local special educators who share how they are working diligently to provide continued education for our keiki through distance learning in Hawaii.
