The Mauritanian is a true story about an Arab man who was captured in Mauritania West Africa and spirited off to an American base in Germany and then to Guantanamo. Although there was no evidence against him, he was held there and tortured there for 14 years, despite the successful efforts of a civil rights lawyer to get a Writ of Habeas Corpus
