The proposed Hawaii 2018 ballot measure allowing the legislature to surcharge property taxes is touted as a good thing for Hawaii’s teachers and Keiki. Renowned law professor Randall Roth and entrepreneur Stanley Lau are leading a community movement that says the measure will actually hurt teachers and our school children because it won’t accomplish its purposes and it will create damaging economic affects.
