Who Killed Creativity… and How Get It Back? (The Creative Life)
Discover blocks to creative thinking. The hosts for this episode are Phyllis Blees and Darlene Boyd. The guests for this episode are Andrew Grant and Gaia Grant.
We need to be creative to be innovative. But the relentless push to innovate faster is producing a toxic culture that may undermine the whole creative process. In our rush for end results fast, we could ironically be killing the very thing that will lead us to innovation: creativity. In this session we explore the potential psychological, cultural & environmental blocks to creative thinking.
Research has revealed that creative thinking will be the most important leadership attribute in the next 10 years. Yet it has been identified that even though IQ has been on the rise, creative thinking (CQ) has been declining since the 1990s – just when we need it the most. The session also reveals how to investigate and deal with the creative killers through interactive gamification with a memorable ‘crime scene investigation’ diagnostic tool.
