Trump’s Gong Show Revival – his Cabinet and Staff Picks; Clown Car Now Parked in the Senate Chamber for Confirmation (American Issues Take One). The hosts for this show were Tim Apicella and Jay Fidell. The guests were Benjamin Davis and Chuck Crumpton.

The discussion was: Much debate is taking place as to the quality, or the lack thereof, of Trump’s selection of candidates to fill US Cabinet seats of his new administration. Without going into a name-by-name list, one can generalize by saying it’s a selection of those who have been trapped on Misfit Island and now have a chance to create real chaos for the agency they’ve been nominated to lead. Some individual’s history includes accusations of sexual assault ( a recently completed House Ethics Committee Report on Matt Gates would shed more light on that nomination) and another as a Putin nomination. It’s up to the US Senate to either preserve their constitutional duty to conduct the Advice and Consent process or kowtow to Trump and let him have his way for his nominees to slide into their cabinet positions without scrutiny or debate. This is Trump’s first test to see if can start pulling the wings out of America’s Constitutional governance and a green light to sidestep the Rule of Law.

The takeaway was: Trump’s cabinet and staff nominees are so absurd that the selections appear to be designed to create considerable chaos and dismantle the foundations of our government agencies.
