The discussion was: Despite the tight polling numbers between Trump and VP Harris, Trump and his faithful surrogates are ranting on the media airwaves there is fraud now in the works for election day. Today, Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson stated, I think there is going to be some cheating in this election’ and, ‘I think non- citizens are going to vote’. For the record, non-citizens are not allowed to vote. That is and has been established law. Trump and Johnson blame the Biden/Harris administration on this false narrative that non-citizens are voting in mass. In fact, each state of the union is responsible for enforcement of voter registration, not the federal government. Trump, Vance, and Johnson’s well-placed lies win the hearts and minds of millions of low information voters and take advantage of past decades of myth making that non-documented immigrants vote in our elections. Trump’s bombastic claims that he was going to jail those who commit fraud in the pending election solicit fear and intimidation. Trump’s newly created enemy’s list is long, to include campaign donors, attorneys, and poll workers. The panel will examine at the many aspects of Trump’s repetitive election denials and what is the media going to do about it, if anything at all.
The takeaway was: Trump is looking to energize his MAGA base by stirring up their fears that non-documented immigrants will determine the next president. His attempts to delegitimize the election before it takes place only serves to help him deny results after election night and create chaos among millions of Americans.
