The Noose is Tightening, Trump’s Power Grab; Trump’s Agenda Makes Gains (American Issues Take One). The hosts for this show were Tim Apicella and Jay Fidell. The guests were Benjamin Davis, Chuck Crumpton and David Larson.

The discussion was: Despite recent federal court decisions that have put the brakes on several of Tump’s Executive Orders (EO), Trump has made broad base gains expanding the powers of the executive branch. Impacts of DOGE cuts, the attack on the arts and media community, immigration deportation efforts, gutting federal agencies and regulations, intimation of higher education and legal firms, dominance of congress, are just a few examples of Trump’s efforts to consolidate power. Trump has signed over 143 EOs since his inauguration, and there seems to be no end in sight. The panel will discuss the many areas of the president’s power grab in the last 100 days.

The takeaway was: Trump has flooded the political field with a record number of EOs. The net impact is the federal courts are clogged with legal challenges against Trump. Further, Trump is finding success in distracting the media’s attention away from his self-enrichment schemes with electronic coin revenue and other ‘executive club’ memberships, Donny2Dolls.
